Rehearsals
Rehearsals for singers are every Sunday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. during the concert season. We do not rehearse on the weekends of Memorial Day and Labor Day. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected of all singers, but we know everyone has commitments in addition to VOICE. Members are expected to miss no more than 25% of rehearsals (typically five rehearsals) in order to participate in the concert weekend.
So what happens at rehearsals? Well, it depends how far into the season we are. Earlier in the season, more time and focus is spent in sectionals, where we break out into our voice parts and work through the music together. Toward the end of the season, we spend more time singing together, refining our sound, and learning choreography.
