VOICE is uniquely available to anyone in the community with a musical interest, providing the opportunity to explore their musical passions in a safe, all-inclusive space. We don’t require auditions to join, don’t expect members to be able to read music, and are a welcoming, judgment-free group.

Although music is what brings us together, membership in VOICE is about more than just singing. In addition to our Sunday rehearsals, members have many opportunities to socialize with each other and get involved in the Harrisonburg community. Through VOICE, our members have built new connections, friendships, and even a marriage!

Here are just a few of the community outreach activities VOICE has supported:

• Perform the national anthem for community sporting events

• Staff informational booths at Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance’s community events

• Open for Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance’s community events

• Perform during Arts Council of the Valley’s First Fridays 

• Gather for member potluck socials

• Participate in service projects with our beneficiaries

• Walk in Harrisonburg Winter Wonderfest parade

• Sing for local community organizations
