VOICE beneficiaries must be of 501(c)(3) non-profit status, non-discriminatory, non-exclusionary, without political or religious agenda, and assist the greater Harrisonburg area in some way.

Two beneficiaries for the coming calendar year (one for the summer concert series and the other for the winter concert series) are selected by active VOICE members through a vote held in the fall of the current year.
